Homemade Garlic Pull-Apart Bread

 Homemade Garlic Pull-Apart Bread

Freshly baked homemade garlic pull-apart bread served warm

Nothing beats the smell of freshly baked bread, especially when it’s infused with garlic, butter, and herbs.

This Homemade Garlic Pull-Apart Bread is soft, golden, and irresistibly flavorful — perfect to serve with pasta, soups, or as a delicious snack on its own.

Unlike regular garlic bread, this pull-apart version allows each piece to be soaked in rich garlic butter, giving it a soft, layered texture that melts in your mouth. Whether you’re a baking beginner or a seasoned cook, this recipe will make your kitchen smell heavenly and impress everyone at your table.

Ingredients

For the Dough:

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

2 tsp instant yeast

2 tbsp sugar

½ tsp salt

¾ cup warm milk

2 tbsp butter (melted)

1 tbsp olive oil

For the Garlic Butter Filling:

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

1 tsp oregano or Italian seasoning

2 tbsp butter, softened

1 tbsp olive oil

A pinch of salt and black pepper

 Instructions

1. Activate the Yeast:

In a small bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it rest for about 10 minutes until frothy.

2. Prepare the Dough:

In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and olive oil. Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

3. First Rise:

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

4. Make the Garlic Butter:

In another bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, and olive oil. Mix until creamy.

5. Shape the Bread:

Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Brush the garlic butter evenly on top. Cut into equal strips, stack them, then cut again to form squares. Arrange them vertically in a loaf pan.

6. Second Rise:

Cover and let it rise for another 30 minutes.

7. Bake:

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown.

8. Serve:

Brush with extra garlic butter while warm for that shiny, flavorful finish.
